Who are We?

We are aiming to be the go-to pharmaceuticals factory in microgravity, part of the space manufacturing revolution, currently developing a platform for large-scale crystallization of protein drugs

Why Now?

There is an increasing demand for home based care due to the ever-increasing demands on hospitals, resulting in a push to develop drugs that can be self-administered at home.

Crystallization of protein drugs enables this switch from IV to SC administration.

Why Space?

Why Space?

Crystallization of antibodies is tough! On Earth, sedimentation and convection currents hinder the crystallization process.

Crystallization in a microgravity environment has been shown to result in more perfect crystals with a smaller size distribution. These are far better for pharmaceutical use.

Want to Get Involved?

What Are We Doing?
Want to Get Involved?

Here at BioOrbit we are developing hardware to efficiently crystallize protein drugs both on a small and large scale. We want to work with pharmaceutical companies and researchers who are interested in how crystallization in microgravity will affect the end product.
